Geotextiles

Woven Geotextile is a planar textile structure produced by interlacing two or more sets of elements, such as yarns, fibers, rovings, or filaments, where the elements pass each other, usually at right angles, and one set of elements are parallel to the fabric axis.

The main property of woven geotextile is its strength and due to this property, woven geotextile is grouped into: high strength woven geotextile and low strength woven geotextile.

Woven geotextile can easily conform to the ground or trench surface for fast and trouble free installation; create a superior filter medium because of high water flow rate and excellent filtration properties; high puncture, burst and abrasion resistance to withstand installation stresses.

Woven Geotextiles are generally used for reinforcement & separation. Because of its flexibility and versatility, woven geotextiles are used in a variety of applications, including embankments on soft foundations, retaining walls, and steepened slopes, soil stabilization for road and rail construction. Environmental applications include liner support, voids bridging, and reinforcement over soft, hazardous pond closures.
